HBD has just concluded an exciting and productive week in Frankfurt, highlighted by two key events: the 2024 Annual Partner Meeting on November 18 and a strong presence at Formnext 2024, held from November 19 to 22.

Strengthening Global Partnerships at the 2024 Annual Partner Meeting

On November 18, HBD hosted its Annual Partner Meeting, welcoming partners from around the world to discuss the latest trends and strategies in advancing metal additive manufacturing. The meeting showcased HBD’s recent technological innovations and successful applications, reinforcing the company’s commitment to fostering deeper collaboration with global partners.

Showcasing Advanced Innovation at Formnext 2024

At Formnext 2024, the world’s leading exhibition for additive manufacturing, HBD unveiled its latest LPBF metal 3D printing solutions. Among the highlights were the HBD 400, featuring a powerful six-laser configuration designed for high-speed, cost-effective mass production, and the compact yet versatile HBD 150D Lite Edition, offering precision and affordability for smaller-scale applications.

HBD’s booth became a hub of activity, attracting industry professionals, enterprise clients, and media representatives eager to learn about its advancements. Key innovations that drew attention included the following:

Efficient Mass Production: HBD 400 with six lasers and an automatic stitching system is taking batch production to the next level, enabling industries to achieve high-volume production while significantly lowering operational costs.

Smart Production Management: With advanced digital manufacturing integration, HBD AMES X systems streamline workflows, offering scalability and flexibility to meet the needs of data-driven, modern production environments.

Support-Free Printing Technology: HBD’s breakthrough in support-free printing minimizes material waste and reduces post-processing time, expanding the possibilities for producing complex geometries. For turbine parts, we’ve reduced unsupported overhanging angles from 45° to just 6%, removing most internal supports and enhancing both print quality and efficiency.

Topology Optimization and Lightweight Design: HBD’s achievements in topology optimization allow for the creation of lightweight yet structurally robust components. This breakthrough design approach reduces material usage and enhances performance, making it a game-changer for industries focused on high-performance, weight-sensitive applications.

Recent events in Frankfurt highlighted HBD’s technological capabilities and its focus on developing efficient and sustainable additive manufacturing solutions. HBD looks forward to continuing its close collaboration with partners and clients to drive the wider adoption of HBD LPBF technology across industries and explore new opportunities in advanced manufacturing.
